Formal concert at St Mary the Virgin Church, Lewisham
Featuring music from both sides of the Atlantic – Henry Purcell, Scott Joplin, Leonard Bernstein and the world premiere of Roger Cawkwell’s “For John” in memory of John Dankworth.

The London Saxophone Choir was proud to participate in Making Music's Bernstein Project at the Southbank Centre.
We played as part of the West Side Story Experience.

On Saturday 18 July we returned to Ruskin Park Bandstand, Denmark Hill.
Despite the inclement weather, attendance was good and a lot of fun was had by everyone.

Thursday 16 July 2009 & Wednesday 5 November 2009

On both these days, we gave lunch time performances at Victoria Embankment Gardens.

Both events were attended very well and were enjoyed by both the public and our members.

We presented our first formal concert in St George's Christ Church in Catford.

Despite a small audience, the concert was well received and the Choir made an excellent sound.

The London Saxophone Choir performed their first ever concert on the Bandstand in Ruskin Park.

The weather was lovely and we had a great audience.
